Use of e-resources

Electronic resources available in the Library include publicly available resources (Polish bibliographic databases, digital libraries, Polish and foreign e-journals in open access) and licensed resources (abstract databases and full text services, e-journals, e-books), subscribed by the University Library, available in the university computer network or from home computers after logging in.

The electronic resources of the Library can be used from any location - in the premises of the Library, in the UWM network and from home computers. The access to licensed resources is available only to authorised users (holders of a library account). Users can log in with their login (ID) and a password to their library account. 

All electronic resources in the Library collection and available in open access are shown in the Primo multi-search engine results. 

E-resources include: 

  • foreign databases of abstracts - Medline, Web of Science Core Collection, SCOPUS;
  •  full-text services (consortia of foreign periodicals) - EBSCOhost, Science Direct, Emerald, ProQuest, SpringerLink, Wiley Online Library;
  • Polish bibliographic databases: National Library Databases, AGRO, SIGŻ (Food Industry Bibliographic Information System), the Polish Medical Bibliography, BAZTECH, the Bibliography of Warmia and Mazury;
  • Polish full-text databases - Infor Lex Expert, EMIS Emerging Markets, Legis (Legal Information System), LEX;
  • e-book databases - Knovel, eBook Academic Collection (EBSCOhost), IBUK Libra;
  • Polish e-journals;
  • digital libraries.
